Brass Shamrock Training provides high-quality training courses for firefighters working in high-risk environments, with experience and knowledge serving as the primary guiding force. We develop our classes based on practical implementation, realistic demands, and established principles of Truck Company Operations, which are directly applied to real fireground performance.

We do not believe in checkbox training. All of our courses focus on repetition, accountability, and instructor-led experience to ensure skills that stand when things are at their worst.

Realistic Props and Scenario-Based Drills

We also use high-quality training equipment that simulates real structures and operational challenges. These conditions facilitate practical training in Forcible Entry, Search, Ventilation, and Heavy Lift Stabilization, as well as our famous – full 5 day Firefighter Truck Academy thereby fostering muscle memory and operative discipline.

The courses are designed to be conducted either on-site, at training centers, or in acquired structures, this ensures that the training is relevant to departmental requirements and the operation’s objectives.

Forcible Entry Training

This hands‑on course dives deep into the real‑world forcible entry challenges firefighters face on today’s fireground. Crews will work through mechanical and conventional forcible entry, passive entry methods, and through‑the‑lock techniques using realistic props and problem‑based scenarios. The focus is simple: build confident, efficient firefighters who can gain access to any structure quickly, safely, and with purpose.

Truck Academy

Our Truck Academy is an immersive, multi‑day program built to sharpen core truck company skills through high‑expectation, scenario‑driven training. Designed for firefighters who want disciplined, accountable, and coordinated truck work, this academy delivers the reps and realism needed to perform with confidence on the fireground.

Over five intensive days, firefighters train in the full spectrum of truck operations, including ventilation, forcible entry, search and RIC, ground ladders, equipment knowledge, maintenance, and more. Led by experienced instructors, this progressive program builds competence, speed, and decision‑making under pressure—developing firefighters who can execute with precision when it matters most

Search & RIC Training

This course delivers both basic and advanced firefighter search techniques, including Targeted, Oriented, and Team‑based methods. Students will perform drags and carries, practice firefighter rescues, and work through survivability and RIT concepts in realistic, high‑stress environments. The training emphasizes safety, situational awareness, communication, and coordinated movement in low‑visibility conditions—building firefighters who can locate victims quickly, stay oriented, and operate with confidence when conditions are at their worst

Vertical Ventilation

This hands‑on course builds the strategies and techniques needed for effective vertical ventilation on today’s fireground. Firefighters will train on both residential and commercial applications, applying proven real‑world methods that emphasize coordination, timing, and disciplined decision‑making shaped by construction type. The focus is simple: develop confident, competent crews who can open a roof safely, efficiently, and with purpose

Spotting & Positioning

This practical program teaches firefighters how to spot and position an aerial for maximum impact on the fireground. Crews learn proven techniques for rescue, access, and operational support while gaining a working understanding of the physics and dynamic forces that influence aerial stability, reach, and performance. Ground ladder deployment and placement are fully integrated throughout the course, showing firefighters how ladders and aerials work together to expand reach, improve access, and support coordinated truck operations. By the end, your personnel will make confident, efficient decisions about spotting and deploying the aerial—and the ladders that complement it—in any scenario.

Building Construction for Firefighters

Building construction is the foundation of every fireground decision, and the ability to “read” a structure correctly often determines the success—or failure—of an operation. This course strengthens size‑up, hazard recognition, and tactical decision‑making by focusing on the essential principles of Building Construction for Firefighters.

Firefighters will learn how construction methods, materials, and structural features influence fire behavior, collapse potential, and operational choices. The curriculum is taught through a truck‑company lens, emphasizing how building construction directly shapes ventilation, access, laddering, and other core truck functions. By understanding how a building is put together, students gain the ability to anticipate structural failure, identify hidden dangers, and choose tactics that keep crews safer and more effective.

Heavy Lift & Stabilization

This comprehensive course builds a strong foundation in heavy lifting and load stabilization—core skills essential to safe, effective rescue and technical operations. Firefighters will train on vehicle lifting, stabilization, interior and exterior shoring, collapse control, and scene management with a high safety factor.

Law Enforcement & Military Breaching Courses

Brass Shamrock Training is a specialized provider of Forcible Entry and Breacher Training to law enforcement and military personnel in high-risk, time sensitive situations in which precision, control, and coordination are paramount.
