EVERETT, Wash. — Everett firefighters battled a second-alarm fire at a commercial building in the 2900 block of Chestnut Street after initial reports of explosions coming from the building.
Everett Fire crews arrived on scene just after 1:15 pm and began working offensively due to conditions at the building, fire officials said. One person was transported to the hospital with injuries.
A firefighter was also taken to the hospital, according to fire officials.
By 2 p.m., the fire had been tapped, and crews moved into overhaul operations.
No additional details about the cause of the fire, the extent of the damage, or the person’s condition were immediately available.
